10 bucket list destinations within a four-hour flight from Dubai

One of the best things about living in Dubai is that it's only a four-hour flight away from one-third of the world's population. That means it's a great time to visit some unique places nearby that are easy to get to, such as the Maldives, Oman, Goa, and Al-Ula. If you wish to take a Dubai city tour, you should contact one of the best travel and tour agencies in the United Arab Emirates.

1. Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia

Al-Ula

The ancient UNESCO heritage site is without a doubt a "bucket list" destination with a lot to do and see in some of Saudi Arabia's most beautiful and untouched landscapes. This site opened to tourists from all over the world for the first time in 2020, and now people can visit and learn about its rich history and archaeology. AlUla has over 200,000 years of history to explore, but it is also becoming a centre for art, wellness, culture, and entertainment. Check out the luxurious Habitas AlUla or the recently opened Banyan Tree.

Beirut

Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, is one of the oldest cities in the world and is often called the "Paris of the Middle East." You could spend days walking around, meeting people, and shopping. Check out the Arthaus Beirut if you want a boutique hotel in the city's art district.

3. Cairo, Egypt

Sri Lanka is the place to go for a getaway with just the right amount of adventure, culture, and wellness. You can schedule as many or as few day trips as you want (taking time out to sip locally grown tea by the infinity pool is totally acceptable and encouraged). Some of the best things to do in Sri Lanka are taking the beautiful train ride from Kandy to Ella, climbing Sigiriya Rock, and going to beautiful beaches like Dalawella.

5. Doha, Qatar

Doha

Doha, a lively, quickly-growing city just an hour from Dubai, is just waiting to be explored. The multi-cultural city has a lot to offer every kind of traveller, from amazing art and high-end shopping to desert adventures and amazing water parks. Check out Richard Serra's amazing structure in the desert, East-West/West-East.

6. Goa, India

Goa

This tiny Indian coastal state is the best place to go for a tropical beach vacation. Goa is a great place for a last-minute trip, a romantic getaway, or a family vacation. Temperatures start to rise from March to May, but beaches are much less crowded. one of India's tallest waterfalls, Dudhsagar Falls, and a well-known beach, Palolem Beach.

7. Gudauri, Georgia

Gudauri

This place in Eastern Europe is becoming more and more popular with UAE residents who want to play in the snowy peaks. This is because the hotels are cheap and it's close to the UAE. Gudauri in the Greater Caucasus mountains is the best place to ski in the country because it is high up and has a lot of snow—up to 2.5 metres deep. In addition to skiing, there are lots of fun things to do on the slopes, like snowtubing, heliskiing, and freeriding. There's also a growing food and wine scene, with more hotels, restaurants, and bars opening up in the area.

8. Larnaca, Cyprus

Larnaca

Larnaca is a 600-year-old coastal city in Cyprus. It is known for its beautiful palm tree-lined beaches, beautiful weather, famous salt lake, and ancient gems. The island is split into Turkish and Greek parts, so you can experience two different cultures in one trip. If you like diving, the Zenobia shipwreck in Larnaca is said to be one of the best dive sites in the world.

9. Mahé, Seychelles

Mahe

Mahé is the third-largest island in the group of islands that make up the Seychelles. It is in the Indian Ocean and is a beach lover's paradise with sunshine all year. Spend your days relaxing on the beautiful white-sand beaches, hiking through the rainforest, or exploring the colourful markets full of fresh fruit, handmade goods, and fish. You can also easily get to other islands by boat from Mahé.

10. Petra, Jordan

Petra

In Petra, which is about a three-hour drive from Amman, you can't miss the historic sites in the Rose City. If you want to see the best views, make sure to wear shoes that are easy to walk in. You can also visit Wadi Rum, Aqaba, and the Dead Sea on your trip.

Since National Day is coming up soon, if you're thinking about booking a last-minute trip, you have a lot of options because the UAE is close to many popular travel destinations.
